As promised a few days back, I’m posting here how to create an universal master piece.
Make notes:
First off, we need a support to draw on. in my particular Case, I’ve evolved from drawing directly on the school table, to use paper sheets, due to the difficulty of taking the table with me to show my stuff.
A paper sheet, looks more or less like the one on the picture.
Next, using Scotch tape or similar, we cover the borders making a frame…this is optional and it’ll be like the one shown below…
Once we’ve got the drawable surface, we start drooling with the pencil…freely, like this:
…this…
…this…
…and this…
Now…once we see more or less what we had on our minds, we go to the no less important step: the ink.
I personally use different methods going from nibs, the old Rotrings, markers o simply Bic pens, a very nice and cheap tool of beautiful results.
After which, we have a quite disgusting result…mix of lines and materials, so we erase the graphite with white rubber trying not to break the paper or damage the drawing, affecting the general look of the work and our nerves at the same time…
After the drawing is clean, we pass to the coloring, to round it up and make it sweet…in this case, I used watercolors because I like it and also (why not) because i wanted to…being one of the best ways to color things on paper…
It happened many times that when putting colors, I completely screwed up the thing after hours of work…in these cases, cursing and shouting out loud won’t fix the thing, but helps a lot to calm you down…
Once we are happy with the image in general, we can carefully take the tape off, leaving the borders clean and beautiful…
The final result is a couple of posts below…I hope you liked it and contributed to your general knowledge (and life)
In the next class, we will learn how to do Heart surgery in 5 steps, and don’t miss our section “Build your own nuclear reactor in your backyard”
That’s all folks!

How do you get the ink to not run?

Watercolors are VERY tricky and you need to get used to the medium…but when you get the trick, it’s lovely to working with it.
If you are inking before coloring, a nib and some good waterproof ink will do for you.
I’m doing some stuff now with Super black Speedball Calligraphy ink and the results are nice.
Get urself a good fine brush and paint away!
Good luck and dont forget to letting me know how it goes.
